Mmm, Mmm, Good!
Our wonderful camp meals are served in Juhan Dining Hall, where campers eat, socialize, and sing. Our camp director works with our chef to design great, kid-friendly meals that your camper is sure to love. If for some reason they don’t, we offer a salad bar at lunch and dinner and cereals, bagels, and more at breakfast. We serve meals at 8:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.
If your child has food allergies or a special diet, there’s no need to worry! Our kitchen staff will work with you and your camper to make sure they have tasty, diet-appropriate meals. In the past, we’ve accommodated campers who are vegetarians, pescetarians, peanut-free, gluten-free, vegan, and more. There’s nothing our chef can’t handle!
When registering for camp, make sure to denote any allergies or special diets. We print a weekly list in advance for our chef, and if we have any questions, we’ll be sure to reach out.
If you’re concerned about how we handle certain diets or want to know more, reach out to us, and we’ll put you in touch with our camp director or chef.
For campers who want something extra during the day, we'll have Canteen once a day. Canteen is our snack shop, where campers can purchase one drink ($1-2), one candy ($1), and one snack ($1). Parents will be able to load money onto Canteen accounts and campers can make purchases throughout the week. The maximum spend per day is $4. All leftover funds will be donated toward camp scholarships!
We do not serve soda in canteen.
Canteen is open from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for older campers and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for younger campers.
We offer plenty of food through meals and Canteen, but we know your camper may want more or their favorite snack from home! It’s perfectly okay to send snacks with your camper (or in a care package), but because of nut allergies, please make sure all the snacks are nut-free.
Snacks will be kept in the common area of the cabin, so it’s a good idea to write your camper’s name on them! We ask that all campers remember to place their snacks there to ensure no rodents sneak in and go through their things!
If you'd like to know more, reach out to our camp director Allison Vining by phone or email!
