Getting Here

At Camp Weed, we pride ourselves on offering an array of activities, from leather making and archery to movie making and guitar.

Morning Activities

On Sundays, we host an activity fair for all of our campers to experience a snippet of all of the morning activities we'll offer during the week. After the fair, campers sign up for two morning activities that they'll go to each day. If campers don't love their activities - no worries! We allow campers to change freely based on their preferences as long as they let our staff know.

Some of our morning activities include:

  • Outdoor Living
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Aquatics
  • Sports
  • Archery
  • Movie Making
  • Wall/Challenge Course

While morning activities are more structured, optionals allow campers to get creative and try new things each day. Each afternoon, our staff will use camper and staff ideas to come up with a list of optionals that campers can choose from. During this hour, campers are free to try out as many or as few of our optionals as possible. They can also visit our snack shop (Canteen) during this time.

Some of our previous optionals include:

  • Slip 'n Slide Kickball
  • Cloud Watching
  • Tie Dye
  • Leather Working
  • Extreme Gaga
  • Low Ropes
  • Nature Hikes and Haikus

All Camps

Each evening, our campers participate in all-camp games and activities. These events are camp favorites and change each week and each summer. While these activities are done all together, different accommodations are made for our different ages.

Some of our all-camps include:

  • Water Carnival
  • Bishop’s Ball
  • Counselor Hunt
  • Camp Weed 500
  • Camp Weed Olympics
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Chaos

Our activities director works tirelessly to plan these all camp activities, and our program staff and leaders-in-training (LITS) love creating things to make these activities come to life!

Cabin Time

We added Cabin Time activities during the 2018 summer, and we're excited to expand it for summer 2019! This summer, cabins will work together to choose from a list of activities (a mix of morning activities and optionals) that they'll do just as a cabin. This is a great opportunity for campers to try a variety of things and to bond as a cabin.

Our staff works hard to offer the best programs we can. We’re open to new ideas and enjoy feedback on current activities. To make suggestions, contact our camp director.
